Founder Doug Jackson will give a meaningful presentation about how regular people can do extraordinary things and offer attendees a personal tour of the Project C.U.R.E facility. The Green Rush: Conversations about the Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado

Colorado voters overwhelmingly approved the legalization of marijuana in their state even though it is a federal crime and most state and local governments and foundations were against it. Join us for a presentation by the Colorado State Attorney General on state enforcement and decriminalization issues, and hear from local funders on how they are responding to community needs going forward. Session Objectives: Gain an understanding on state versus federal enforcement of marijuana Learn from local funders their response to legalization

Two-time Olympian, 11-time World Cup gold medalist, U.S. Skiing Hall of Fame inductee and NFL player Jeremy Bloom will deliver the keynote address at the Conference of Southwest Foundations spring meeting on Thursday, April 10th.

As the founder of Wish of a Lifetime, a foundation dedicated to creating a cultural shift in how we view and value aging, Jeremy will share his inspiring insights about taking risks, persevering, and striving for excellence to achieve goals. Wish of a Lifetime fosters respect and appreciation for seniors by granting life-enriching wishes.

Jeremy Bloom is the founder of Wish for a Lifetime, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring an entire generation and to creating a cultural shift on how we view aging. The organization grants lifelong wishes to seniors who have overcome tremendous challenges in their lives, and is able to spread inspirational stories of hope. Since its beginning in 2008, Wish for a Lifetime has granted over 1000 wishes in 46 states. In April 2010, Bloom also co-founded the marketing software company Integrate. The company has raised over $20M of venture capital from Comcast, Foundry Group and Liberty Global. Integrate was named as the "Best New Company" at the 2011 American Business Awards in New York City. Forbes Magazine called Bloom one of the 30 most influential people in technology under the age of 30 and in 2013 Bloom was a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Integrate has offices in Denver, Scottsdale, New York City, San Francisco and Boston. And if that isn't impressive enough- Bloom is a three-time World Champion, two-time Olympian, eleven-time World Cup gold medalist and a member of the United States Skiing Hall of Fame. He was also an All-American football player at the University of Colorado and played professional football as a wide receiver and return specialist in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
