In collaboration with the North Texas Asset Funders Network, Philanthropy Southwest invites you to join us for:
The Education/Assets Connection: Going Beyond the Data
Join us August 25th for coffee and conversation with Alfreda Norman, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and special guest Anthony Poore, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and Rob Podlogar, Siemer Institute for Family Stability to discuss the intersections between education and financial security.
What does the data tell us about the links between educational attainment, aspiration, and family financial security? How are the education and asset-building fields working together to support families and create better outcomes? How can we better collaborate and innovate?
We will hear from Anthony Poore, Deputy Director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston through an interview by Alfreda Norman, Senior Vice President at The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas who will discuss evidence, effects, and opportunities linking asset building to education interventions and attainment. Rob Podlogar, National Director of the Siemer Institute for Family Stability, will join Poore and Norman for an interactive discussion about innovative education and assets connections in communities across the US.
