A collaboration in Austin is doing this to change the lives of entire families. The Austin Medical Legal Partnership is a partnership between People's Community Clinic in Austin and the Texas Legal Services Center. It's an approach supported by the Episcopal Health Foundation and an example of what transformational grantmaking looks like. Philanthropy Southwest member Episcopal Health Foundation has produced this video to show a simple example of how taking health beyond the clinic can result in long-lasting change for families. A key component of the Episcopal Health Foundation’s vision is the idea that to truly transform community health, the root causes of health problems have to be addressed, not just repeatedly treat the symptoms.
