A bipartisan super-majority of the House of Representatives voted in favor of the “America Gives More Act” yesterday. The bill, which has received strong support from across the nonprofit sector. If adopted, the Act would make the IRA charitable rollover permanent, simplify the private foundation excise tax, and extend the deadline for claiming charitable contributions from December 31 to April 15 of the following year.
