Connect with Local Funders in Phoenix at PSW On the Road
As part of our PSW On the Road series, we’re coming to Phoenix on April 17 to provide opportunities for local funders to connect over a networking breakfast and program. Our program will include an study of the impact of philanthropy across the region and a conversation with the Virgina G. Piper Charitable Trust.
PSW commissioned a study with Texas A&M Bush School’s Center for Nonprofits and Philanthropy to assess the impact of philanthropic giving across the Southwest.
Here is a sneek peek at our findings...
- Economic Impact: Each dollar of philanthropic giving generates an additional 75 cents in the southwest economy.
- Job Support: Grants directly supported nearly 70,000 jobs in 2019 and indirectly supported 45,000 jobs through indirect and induced effects.

PSW member Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust’s effort to implement high-quality feedback practices among its grantees has strengthened countless programs, influenced local leaders, and built a robust network of organizations equipped to listen deeply to the people they serve. Senior Program Officer Erin Goodman will share an overview of Piper Trust’s years-long partnership with Listen for Good, the successes and challenges of this work, and the opportunities for the future – both for Piper Trust’s grantee partners, and for the Trust itself.
