Age-friendly communities have had a significant impact on making America a better, more prepared place to grow up and grow older. The New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM), in support of GIA's Community AGEnda program (sponsored by The Pfizer Foundation) brings together this informative session which will focus on Age-friendly communities initiatives around the U.S. which have demonstrated improvements in health, quality of life and cost-savings. The discussion will also include metrics and evaluation to demonstrate outcomes to different stakeholders. This Conversations With GIA webinar will feature an introduction by Dorian Block, New York, NY (Age-friendly NYC) and presenters Kate Clark and Allen Glicksman, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia Corporation on Aging), Dana Bradley, Bowling Green, Kentucky (Director of Gerontology Center at WKU), and Mary Blumberg, Atlanta, Georgia (Atlanta Regional Commission).
