Good Governance: Building a Sustainable Board

This complimentary lunch program will cover the legal aspects of being a board member and best practices for good governance. It will cover fiduciary duty, legal responsibility, best practices, and activities that boards should put into practice immediately. The panel will feature Northern Trust Director of Philanthropic Advisory Services Marguerite Griffin and Polsinelli Shareholder Jonathan Blum, who provide tailored advice and education to some of the most innovative and successful families and board directors. They will convey their professional experience advising individuals, families, nonprofit organizations as well as their personal experience in the field of governance, philanthropy, and risk management. This program has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 1.00 credit hour.
