Rockwell Fund is pleased to announce that Ronald C. Lewis has joined its Board of Trustees and Olivia Ekeke has joined its staff.
Mr. Lewis was elected at the Fund’s annual meeting on February 28, 2019. Mr. Lewis graduated from Princeton University, where he majored in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and from Harvard Law School with honors. After graduation in 1983, he joined Baker Botts, L.L.P., where he became partner in 1991. He co-founded Marshall & Lewis L.L.P. in 2006. As a trial lawyer, he handled complex commercial cases involving contract, fraud, personal injury, environmental and other claims. In 2016, he was confirmed by Houston City Council as the City Attorney for Houston, Texas. His professional and volunteer affiliations and activities have included the Best Lawyers in America, the American Law Institute, the International Association of Defense Lawyers, the State Bar of Texas Minority Counsel Program, the Commission for Lawyer Discipline and the Center for Public Policy Priorities.
Ms. Ekeke joined the Fund in November 2018 as Program Associate. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Education from the University of North Texas and her Master of Public Health from Texas A& M University. She has a passion for nonprofit and poverty research. Her work in nonprofit began as an Americorp Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA).
