So, what do I do first?
Log on! Current members of Philanthropy Southwest (formerly Conference of Southwest Foundations) simply need to select the "reset your password" button. We've migrated all of the information in our previous database over to the new website, so if we have an email address on file for you, click the Member Login link in the upper right hand corner of your screen, then choose "Forgot Password" to set your password. Enter the email address to which you receive our emails and we will send you an email with a link to reset your password. There is no need to create a new account. Be sure to check your "junk" email folder if you do not immediately receive an email from us. Once you receive that email, click on the link provided to access the "reset your password" page. Click "Log in" and enter your new, self-selected password. Click Save. That's it, you're in!
If we do not have an email address on file for you and you are a current member of Philanthropy Southwest, select Create a New Account. If you receive a message saying your account already exists, follow the directions above to "reset your password."
Once you have logged on, we encourage you to update, or set up, your member profile. One of the strengths of the new website is the ability to deliver custom access to resources and information, as well as connect you to other member foundations, all based on your profile. Please take a moment to complete, or update, your profile.
If your foundation is not currently a member of Philanthropy Southwest, you are still welcome to create an account. Selecte "Create a New Account" from the Member Log-in screen and follow the instructions. This allows you to enter all relevant contact information and register for events. While creating a non-member account does not provide access to "members only" information, it will be maintained for future log-in sessions.
How do I find information and resources?
Philanthropy Southwest's new site has a robust, sitewide search engine. Using the Search tool that appears in the upper right hand corner of every screen will conduct a search across all pages, news items, resources and events. If you are a member of Philanthropy Southwest, please ensure you are logged in so that you are able to view materials that are restricted to member foundations only.
You may also choose to search soley within the Knowledgebase, which contains filters to narrow down items returned in your search. You will also notice that most items contain "tags" such as Family Foundations or Program Staff. Clicking these tags will return all events, pages, news items and resources coded to the tag selected.
How do I register myself or others at my foundation for an upcoming event?
Members of Philanthropy Southwest should always log on first. If this is the first time you visit philanthropysouthwest.org, please follow the steps above for creating a password.
Once you are signed in, the website knows who you are and will provide member pricing and members only opportunities. The website uses a "shopping cart" feature found in many popular websites and now only takes a few moments to register yourself or other staff within your foundation. You may register for one, or more than one, program in one checkout process. Look for helpful instructions included on the checkout pages. If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our offce at 214-740-1787.
