At TEGG’s spring meeting April 27 at the Harte Research Institute (HRI) for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Executive Director Larry McKinney, Ph.D. gave an overview of the work of HRI as well as a report on the health of the Gulf.
At HRI, Dr. McKinney, leads an interdisciplinary team that integrates science, policy and socio-economic expertise to assure an economically and environmentally sustainable Gulf of Mexico. He has explored and studied the world's largest gulf for fifty-plus years. He received his doctorate from Texas A&M University in 1976.
