New grants awarded to improve health outcomes by engaging disconnected youth in the region
The Paso del Norte Health Foundation awarded four grants totaling more than $347,000.00 under the Healthy Kids Initiative to improve a range of health outcomes by engaging disconnected youth in the region for 2021.
Funded organizations are:
Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces, Inc. - $85,053.60
More Teens, More Often
To strategically increase participation and membership of 11-17-year-old disconnected youth in the More Teens, More Often Initiative through afterschool and summer programs in Las Cruces, NM.
City of Socorro - $54,962.43
Socorro Youth In Culture Program
To implement an after-school and summer art program for 100 disconnected youth ages 5-17 living in Socorro, TX.
Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico - $126,404.30
Kids Can Youth Entrepreneur Program
To continue the Kids Can program for at least 100 disconnected youth ages 5-17 in Anthony, Hatch, and Las Cruces, NM.
Salud y Desarrollo Comunitario de Cd. Juárez, A.C. - $80,810.40
Femap en Conexión
To continue the afterschool and summer programs for 350 disconnected youth in the rural URBI Villa del Campo community in far east Ciudad Juárez.
