Position Information
Job Summary: In the context of our overarching foundation Building Community of Hope Goals, Strategic Engagement and Initiatives, which is a unit in the office of the CEO, develops national, regional, and local initiatives, which focus on improving the well-being outcomes of children, families, and communities. These initiatives are multi-sector collaborations and focus primarily on underserved populations and under resourced communities. The workgroup also develops and manages multiple relationships with philanthropic serving organizations (PSO’s), and other select foundations, and national non-profit organizations for the purpose of helping to change the national narrative around Building Communities of Hope. This position will focus primarily on a new area of the foundation, which is influencing policy and practice improvements, and strengthening the field in the area of supporting children and families at the intersection of immigration and child and family well-being. This position will interface with entities across multiple sectors to help uplift the issues of immigrant or mixed status families at risk of entering child welfare systems or in the custody of child welfare systems, for the purpose of influencing greater support for this population. The individual in this position will have relevant expertise in services to immigrant families and children, developing and managing cross-sector collaborations, initiative planning, development, and implementation, and effective engagement, including co-design strategies and structures. This position will report directly to the Managing Director of Strategic Engagement and Initiatives, and will function within an internal collaborative management approach with other Managing Directors and Senior Directors in other work units. This internal team will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies for this focus area.
