Join others for the second online training to strengthen digital outreach strategies for census August 13 at 2:00 pm Central Time/ 1:00 pm Mountain Time.
This training will introduce you to digital organizing tactics, tools and strategies for effectively mobilizing populations to complete the 2020 census. The training will cover how to do a “digital inventory” of your current skills, capacity, and budget at your organization. You will match your Get Out the Count (GOTC) goals with digital strategies and tools and gain clarity on which approaches match the success of your team’s objectives and capacity.
This training is being offered by 270 Strategies and Do Big Things as part of a broader Digital Academy. The Digital Academy has two parts. The first is a set of six short videos on introductory digital organizing information such as use of email, text messaging, and digital ads. The second is a series of five 60-minute online trainings providing proven digital organizing techniques for census outreach.
The first online training was July 24 and was an introduction to developing a GOTC campaign and how digital approaches fit into the overall campaign. A recording of the training, a copy of the slides used, and templates distributed are available at https://censuscounts.org/digital-organizing-tools/.
This Digital Academy is being done in coordination with the Census Counts Campaign which sits at the Leadership Conference Education Fund and is being supported by the national census funder collaborative.
