PROGRAM GOAL
To create a forum for new staff in which ideas and experiences are shared on how to work effectively in a philanthropic foundation. Or in other words… Everything I needed to know but nobody told me!
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES To provide information, resources, and insights to participants that will be of benefit in “back home” situations To develop relationships with others for mutual support To foster mentor relationships between experienced and new staff which will continue after the program ends To identify our unique strengths AUDIENCEFoundation staff (below CEO level) with two or fewer years of experience in the field. While this retreat is open to staff in any role at their foundation, it's particularly helpful for those working directly in the grantmaking process.
This event is only open to PSW Members.
ENVIRONMENTAn intimate and informal setting that will promote sharing among participants. To help build this environment, we limit the registration to 15 attendees. One staff per foundation to attend each year ( if multiple staff from the same organization register, they will be asked to send only one person for the 2024 retreat).
COST
The registration fee is $199/person; which includes lodging and meals*, beverages, and snacks. (*Dinner on Sunday night is not covered in this cost. All other meals are.) Attendees are responsible for their own travel to/from the Noble Institute in Ardmore, OK.
