Federal Advocacy Made Local: 2025 Public Policy and In-District Engagement

Effective advocacy often couples engagement in Washington on Capitol Hill with meetings with lawmakers and staff in their home districts and states. And there is no shortage of advocacy opportunities in 2025. During this session, attendees will first hear from our partners at Integer about the latest federal policy developments that impact philanthropy, followed by a discussion with congressional staff about the ins and outs of engaging with lawmakers and their staff at the local level. Spoiler: Building local relationships is easier, and more important, than you might think.
