From Revolution to Evolution to Impact
Whether members of your family foundations consider themselves revolutionaries, or keepers of an evolving tradition, our 2015 Family Foundations Forum has an agenda that’s sure to inspire greater impact. This year’s highlights include:
• A welcome dinner exploring philanthropy’s historic connection to Colonial Williamsburg
• Group discussions about growing trends in family philanthropy
• A look at board and staff transitions
• Exploration of the foundation’s role as advocate for public policy change
• Thoughts on moving family philanthropy to the next level
• Reflection on best practice, evaluation, collaboration and more
This year’s Forum also features a special concurrent gathering for family members ages 8-21, led by Youth Philanthropy Connect. Younger family members will engage in:
• An exploration of different philanthropy models
• Break-out sessions for early explorers (ages 8-12) and older youth
(What are the Causes I Care About & What Can I Do About Them or Art vs. Science of Grantamaking)
• Connections between youth grantmakers and grantees
• Group grantmaking
