How to Engage through Social Media
During the 2015 Philanthropy Southwest Annual Conference
1. Connectivity Palooza – Have Fun & Win Prizes!
One of the things Philanthropy Southwest is best known for and values most is connectivity. Not only do we bring philanthropists, foundations and partners together, we go a step beyond to help you foster deep relationships and harness the power of a shared passion for social change.
During the Annual Conference, we encourage you to make new acquaintances and reconnect with people you haven’t seen for a while. Discover what you can learn from one another that strengthens and supports your work, and take new, renewed, and valuable connections back home with you.
Make your connection quest fun by sharing your new and renewed connections on Facebook and Twitter. Here’s how it works:
1. Introduce yourself to someone new, or re-introduce yourself to someone you haven’t seen for a while
2. Identify some aspect of the conference you both value
3. Take a photo of yourselves (or have someone nearby take the photo for you). You can also take pictures of yourself with:
a. A speaker you particularly valued
b. A member of the board you feel connected to
c. With your friends out and about in Santa Fe!
4. Post your photos to your Facebook page or Twitter account. Be sure to include: (1) your photo, (2) name of the people in the photo, and (3) the Hashtag #2015PSWAC. As space allows, also tell us what you both value about the Philanthropy Southwest Annual Conference.
PRIZES: The three meeting participants who post the most “connections” photos AND use the #2015PSWAC Hashtag, will receive the Connectivity Champions special prizes. One Creativity Connectivity award will also be given for the most creative photo approach.
To be counted, you must use the Hashtag #2015PSWAC!
The contest begins on Wednesday, 10/21, and will conclude on Friday, 10/23 at 7:00 p.m. Awards will be presented on Saturday, 10/24, at the breakfast plenary session. Join in!
